Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with co-teachers to create high-achieving student cultures.
  • Implement lesson plans and document syllabi using research-based best practices.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Monitor academic progress and adjust instruction based on data analysis.
  • Build meaningful relationships with students and families to support learning.
  • Maintain a warm, inclusive classroom environment while managing behaviors effectively.
  • Work with teams to create and progress monitor individualized student plans.
  • Engage in additional duties as assigned to support overall school operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Certification: NY State certification in subject area is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years teaching experience with evidence of improving student achievement.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, commitment to diversity, and a passion for community impact.
  • Bilingual: Spanish is a plus!

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $75,000 to $100,000, with increases based on performance and tenure.
