Chief Engineer

Position: Chief Engineer - Air Dominance and Strike (AD&S) Team ✈️

We are on the lookout for a talented Chief Engineer to take on a pivotal role in our Air Dominance and Strike (AD&S) team. Together, we will develop end-to-end autonomous air systems designed for exceptional warfighter outcomes.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct trades for communication, sensing, and effector systems to achieve successful mission outcomes in collaboration with the broader AD&S team.
• Architect solutions for multi-function, multi-mode payloads, defining concepts, requirements, layouts, interfaces, and employment strategies.
• Adapt or create physics-based models to assess payload system performance, working closely with subject matter experts.
• Develop validated effects-based models for mission-level modeling and simulation tools.
• Validate system performance in cooperation with test & integration engineers.
• Collaborate with AD&S teams to integrate and deliver high-performance systems to our clients.
• Manage subcontractors and internal teams to define subsystem requirements and ensure technical performance on schedule.
• Effectively communicate results through various mediums both internally and externally.

Required Qualifications:

• Active DoD TS Security Clearance required.
• Strong domain expertise in communications, sensors, and effector systems such as Radar, EO/IR, RF, and EW.
• Proficiency in physics-based modeling and analysis of system performance using tools of your choice.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in payload integration and validation, with an emphasis on extensive experience.
• At least 10 years in a relevant Science and/or Engineering field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of cutting-edge communications, sensing, and effector systems and platforms.
• Comprehensive experience in platform-level system trade and integration.
• Advanced proficiency in tools/languages like MATLAB, Python, C++, COMSOL, or Ansys.
• Advanced experience in secure communications methods and tactical data links.
• Background in advanced sensing domains (e.g., EO/IR, ESM, EA, EW, LIDAR) and missile design and integration.

Salary:
💰 Salary Range: $206,000 - $309,000 USD.
