Position Overview
As a Clinical Research Assistant, you will embark on an exciting entry-level career path, gaining the skills necessary to evolve into a Clinical Research Coordinator. With ample growth opportunities, you will be an integral part of the Care Access Research process.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and adhere to institutional SOPs π
- Participate in recruitment and pre-screening events
- Assist in creating outreach materials βοΈ
- Identify potential participants through medical records review
- Conduct phone screenings for recruiting new participants π
- Schedule participant visits and send reminders
- Obtain informed consent under the guidance of the CRC
- Execute visit procedures per protocol and collect specimens
- Record and enter data accurately in real-time π
- Request payments and update internal trackers
- Support administrative tasks: copying, scanning, filing, etc.
- Maintain effective relationships with study participants π₯
- Uphold FDA regulations and ICH guidelines in clinical trials
Physical and Travel Requirements
This is an on-site position with regional travel required. Minimal overnight travel (<10%) expected.
What You Bring
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism with diverse individuals
- Great organizational abilities and attention to detail βοΈ
- Basic knowledge of medical and research terminology
- Familiarity with federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Positive, βcan doβ attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year experience as a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, Clinical Research Assistant or Phlebotomist required
- Phlebotomy experience is a must!
- Some clinical research background preferred
