Position Summary:
As a Commissioning Manager, you'll play a key role in the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities associated with mission-critical equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and General Contractors to create effective commissioning frameworks.
- Lead onsite teams in executing commissioning activities.
- Develop custom commissioning management and validation documents.
- Facilitate project commissioning meetings with confidence.
- Generate comprehensive reports addressing technical content, progress updates, and issue resolutions.
- Provide expertise on drawings and technical submissions.
- Assign tasks to discipline leads and oversee their progress.
- Coordinate with vendors and manage quality assurance for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) equipment.
- Execute testing scripts to validate the functionality of MEP equipment.
- Promote CAI's safety culture by preparing safety documentation and ensuring compliance.
- Offer consultative guidance to clients on commissioning strategies and streamlining activities.
- Report scope changes promptly to management.
- Support the Regional Manager with tender submissions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Data Centre Commissioning.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written) is a must.
- Strong understanding of Data Centre infrastructures, notably electrical and mechanical systems.
- Previous experience in Data Centre facilities operations is a plus.
- Diligent, professional, and adaptable to project demands.
- Ability to work independently and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Initiative in planning commissioning activities and motivating team members.
- Must possess a valid passport or the ability to obtain one immediately.
