Kubernetes Platform Site Reliability Engineer (Starlink) 🚀

As a Kubernetes Platform Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and operation of Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system, connecting over 5 million users globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop automation to deploy and manage on-premise Kubernetes clusters.
- Deploy and maintain core infrastructure, including databases and monitoring systems.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to build scalable, operable, and maintainable products.
- Improve the lifecycle of services from inception and design to deployment and operation.
- Ensure high availability through effective monitoring and alerting systems.
- Engage in hands-on integration and troubleshooting across the Starlink stack.
- Identify areas for improvement and create innovative solutions for system availability.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience (1+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps).
- Professional experience with Linux operating systems (1+ years).
- Proficient with Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure tools.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, OCI containers).
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Development experience in Python, C++, or Go.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Advanced knowledge of Python and development frameworks.
- Practical experience managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Familiarity with Linux boot processes and system configurations.
- Understanding of testing, continuous integration, and deployment monitoring.
- Experience with distributed databases and data modeling.
- Strong networking knowledge of TCP/IP.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000/year, depending on experience and qualifications.
