Who Weโ€™re Looking For:
We are on the hunt for a Principal Controls Engineer to spearhead the design and deployment of control systems and instrumentation for our advanced metals production processes. This hands-on leadership position is vital for innovating and implementing reliable, scalable solutions in our fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Implement: Architect control systems, including PLCs (Allen-Bradley), HMI, SCADA (Ignition), and instrumentation for novel processes.
  • Specification & Installation: Commission control and instrumentation hardware in high-temperature and chemical environments.
  • System Oversight: Lead troubleshooting, upgrades, and continuous improvements for optimal performance.
  • Mentorship: Guide and build our internal controls and instrumentation team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to ensure effective integration with production needs.
  • Project Management: Manage complex projects from conception to execution, maintaining alignment with company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Electrical, Controls, or Systems Engineering.
  • 10+ yearsโ€™ experience in designing and managing industrial control systems, ideally within metals or chemical processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of PLCs (preferably Allen-Bradley), HMI (Ignition preferred), SCADA, and process instrumentation.
  • Hands-on experience with system commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven leadership and project execution skills in dynamic, multidisciplinary settings. ๐ŸŒˆ
