Join GLIDE, a nationally recognized center for social justice, dedicated to fighting systemic injustices and transforming lives! ๐ We're looking for a Director of Events and Special Projects to lead our special events portfolio and collaborate across all departments to elevate our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Strategize: Provide vision for GLIDEโs largest public-facing events and special projects.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work cross-functionally to design strategic and goal-oriented events.
- Steer Events Committee: Lead the Events Steering Committee monthly meetings to enhance inter-organizational collaboration.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the Special Events Team in planning and executing signature performances and events.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors for event execution and negotiate for economies of scale.
- Mentorship: Develop and mentor the Special Events team to ensure high performance.
- Community Involvement: Attend all assigned events, providing onsite support and representing GLIDEโs mission.
Qualifications:
- Education: BA degree with 5-7 years in special events management or equivalent experience.
- Relationship Management: Exceptional skills with meticulous attention to detail and follow-through.
- Event Production: Proven experience in executing large performances and events.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to collaborate to grow revenue significantly.
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year ๐ฐ
