Role Overview:
As an Integration and Test Engineer, you will leverage your engineering expertise to create innovative solutions within the space industry. You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure the success of launch vehicles and spacecraft integral to satellite deployment and human spaceflight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the structural assembly and integration processes of Falcon launch vehicles π§
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes to align with business requirements π οΈ
- Collaborate extensively with engineers and technicians to tackle production challenges π€
- Evaluate design manufacturability with design engineers, streamlining production in a fast-paced environment π
- Address product non-conformances and collaborate with quality teams for corrective actions βοΈ
- Plan and execute upgrades to capital equipment and layout to meet production demands π
- Conduct capacity modeling and product flow analysis for timely vehicle delivery π¦
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline π
- 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production (internship and project experience applicable)
Preferred Skills:
- Masterβs degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial engineering π
- Experience in building large mechanical assemblies and knowledge of metallic manufacturing processes
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software for mechanical component design
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles
- Experience in transitioning products from R&D to manufacturing in dynamic environments πͺοΈ
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work Thursday-Sunday, 4:00 PM - 4:30 AM π
- Comfortable with hands-on work, including bending and stooping
- On-site position; remote work is not an option
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $95,000 - $130,000 annually π°
