Quantum Engineer - Readout and Reset Focus (Hybrid, Oxford, UK) π
Join Rigetti Computing's mission to revolutionize quantum computing! As a Quantum Engineer in our innovative Oxford team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing performance levels of our quantum processors. Collaborate with a diverse group of engineers and scientists to unlock new advancements in qubit readout and reset performance!
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently design and execute experiments for qubit readout and reset calibrations π¬
- Collaborate across functional teams to identify and tackle complex technology gaps
- Innovate new pulse schemes and develop tools, focusing on pulse shaping and calibration improvements
About You:
- Ph.D. in Experimental Physics or a related field
- Proven expertise in experimental research and problem solving
- Experience with superconducting technologies, especially dispersive readout
- Strong coding skills, particularly with Python π
- Enjoys teamwork and collaboration, with a strong track record in quantum science or related fields
Nice to Have:
- Experience with superconducting quantum devices and time-domain measurements
- Hands-on experience with cryogenic systems and RF measurement techniques
- Previous roles in industry or startups with an R&D focus on product development
Salary: Β£65,000 - Β£90,000 annually π·
