⚙️ Role Overview
Join the Air Dominance and Strike Aerostructures Engineering Team, responsible for designing and analyzing advanced structures for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms. You will take ownership of the full development lifecycle, from conceptual design to detailed analysis of resilient, high-performance mechanical systems tailored for complex environments.
🌟 Key Responsibilities
- Leverage first-principle methods and advanced design tools to develop innovative aircraft products.
- Lead the development of primary and secondary structural parts (metallic and composite) throughout the phases of design and prototype manufacturing.
- Execute complex modeling and finite element analysis at various assembly levels to assess strength, buckling, damage tolerance, and delamination.
- Implement design-for-manufacturing concepts to create cost-effective, high-throughput solutions.
- Conduct trade studies to assess engineering concepts focused on optimization for weight, performance, manufacturability, and schedule.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve challenging, open-ended problems while emphasizing cost and scheduling objectives.
- Provide onsite engineering support during manufacturing and integration processes.
🔧 Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of aerospace or related industry experience.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX and strong technical knowledge of engineering principles, composite materials, design, analysis, and fabrication.
- Deep understanding of load paths and design practices for structurally efficient assemblies.
- Proven track record of designing high-performance structures and overseeing their fabrication.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adept at navigating dynamic environments.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
🌈 Preferred Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience in the aerospace or related industry.
- Experience in fast-paced prototype design and manufacturing of uncrewed aircraft.
- Broad experience across various aircraft programs and hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Practical knowledge of aircraft (e.g., pilot’s license, A&P certification).
💰 Salary Range: $142,000 - $213,000 USD
