Mechanical Technician (Critical Infrastructure) - Level 4/5 🚀

Join SpaceX and be part of our mission to make life multiplanetary! As a Mechanical Technician on the Critical Infrastructure Team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, operating, and maintaining some of the most advanced manufacturing facilities on the planet.
Key Responsibilities:
🔧 Collaborate with engineers, managers, and customers to ensure systems operate at peak efficiency and develop work instructions for preventative maintenance.
❄️ Maintain and repair HVAC systems including chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, and more.
🔨 Perform modifications and repairs on ductwork, water piping, and insulation.
🛠️ Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and drainage systems compliant with plumbing codes.
🧰 Conduct hands-on inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
📈 Present maintenance status reports for all critical facilities to internal and external stakeholders.
🔗 Ensure compliance with SpaceX and local building codes and regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
🎓 High school diploma or equivalent.
🛠️ 5+ years of experience with HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
Preferred Skills:
🌡️ Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical safety, and rotating machinery.
📝 Technical certifications in HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing, or Electrical Systems.
💡 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Additional Requirements:
⏰ First shift hours: 5 AM - 3:30 PM PT with potential overtime and weekend work.
🏋️ Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and work at heights of up to 150 feet.
🚗 Must hold a valid CA driver's license.
Compensation and Benefits:
💵 Pay Range: Mechanical Technician /Level 4: $35.00 - $43.00/hour | Level 5: $40.00 - $50.00/hour
