What You Will Do:

  • Lead innovative data visualization product features and initiatives across various Databricks offerings.
  • Establish visual guidelines, UX patterns, and reusable components to ensure consistency and user-friendliness.
  • Deep dive into Databricks' business objectives, users, market opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and leadership to drive initiatives from ideation to completion.
  • Foster a culture of design feedback and continuous improvement in the design process.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 7+ years of product design experience.
  • Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree (HCI, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, etc.).
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional online help experiences and understanding content’s impact on user experience.
  • Experience in conducting user research and validating design concepts with customers.
  • Strong ability to manage complex design projects from concept through execution, achieving measurable improvements.
  • Demonstrated systems-thinking mindset with experience in designing a scalable design system or component library.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate and document design component behaviors.
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing the design process from inception to production.
  • Nice to Have: Experience in Big Data product design and familiarity with programming languages like Python, R, or SQL. 🚀

💰 Pay Range Transparency:

  • Zone 2 Pay Range: $141,500—$250,000 USD
  • Actual compensation will consider experience, location, and other factors.
